No...I understand..I don`t think that any era is that much better than the any..It just seems when someone even dares to speak with kind words about the`80s/`90s on this site, the "bandwagon"as you call it,jumps down your throat and preaches how its all useless music.and I`ve had it with those who do as such.I love it all!..I knew that from the start..And never could I use things like Jerry`s addiction,to come up with false ideas on why the band as a whole may not have played up to standards set high from previous shows in years past.I believe he played great none-the-less,even better than great on occaision. The question in this forum, raelly ought to be.Why can`t someone choose to love the`80s/`90s?....But I do get such a laugh when the"wagoneers"jump all over the posts I put out.Nothing better to do than hate,hate,hate....what a shame.

" I don`t think that any era is that much better than the any"

completely DISAGREE with you on this one. 72-74 vs 92-95? come on! Proof alone are 3.5 hour shows vs 2 hours, more inspired playing, longer jams, less predictable, etc etc. That's just one example. Preference and tastes are objective but some things like I mentioned are not

Because you're a dick? That's where my "hate" comes from.
You come on here and start to criticize folks and slam them for not liking what you like and then somehow they are the ones "hating". Do me a favor - put down the bong, get out of mom's basement, and go over to Lost Sailor's or Deadhook to meet some "kind Heads" because my initial reply when I see any of your posts is a hearty "GO FUCK YOURSELF"!. How's that? Get the reaction you want?

And no, WT is not here to moderate.

If you love the 90s, fine. Enjoy it. I saw a lot of great Jerry shows in the early 90s, but only one or two GD shows that I enjoyed. The vast bulk of my shows happened from 81 thru 89 but I rarely venture past 78 for listening (unless it's a show that pops up in a thread). I personally don't want to hear froggy Jerry or Vince or a lot of the lesser tunes from the later years, but understand why some folks really like SOTM or So Many Roads. To each their own.

You`re a fucking joke. You haven`t the first clue on what "kind,"even represents!Keep on with your mouth and its gonig to find you trouble...i promise.Your hateful, generally negative and judgmental comments are a reflection of what is wrong with asshole, such as yourself.Thinking that, since you grew up in the`70s and in your case, might!,have seen them then. You are pro-young Jerry and nothing He did after then suits you!And if you try and say that its because the music wasn`t as good. You should read prior post,in which you and others have downed everything from Jerry`s voice, which is ridiculous considering AGE!...to MIDI-tech...to drug use...to event time not being as long as earlier dates, again, anyone ever heard of noise ordinance....to the always prevalant,no matter the year, the singer or circumstance, missed notes.Which are heard throughout all era`s of music. There are many more that aren`t worth my time but those four alone show how pathetic you are.Excuses and excuses that`s all they are....The only thing I can find which needs excusing,is you,for being such an ASS.....don`t piss me,you "little bitch!"

Agstwst33 never"hated"or criticized anything, except for the disrespectful posts/comments,directed at the music of the `80s and`90s and/or reasons for why"they hate"it.Usually having to do with Jerry not performing up to,your`s and their standards. So,The only"hater"is you and your side-kick,who thought how wonderful your post to Agstwst33 was.Which was telling,on alot of levels."Kind,"you are not.I don`t think you ever had a clue. You also can`t tell the difference between,"hating"and"standing up for what you believe to be,damn good music!"And from what I read, that`s all agstwst33,is and has ever been guilty of.It seems all you ever had to say,was something negative,or a "hateful"comment, about what was said.I for one, agree with agstwst33,all of Jerry`s work`s are great,in their own special way. From the`60s-`90s.Maybe you should take your advice given to agstwst33,and find out what"kind"and all things peaceful really are all about.Because, you`re just a jerk, who seems to need to grow up.STOP HATE!

In all fairness, I think there are only a few people on this forum that are SO vehemently anti-80s/90s, but the ones that are can be a little out of line. Comes out of passion for the eras they DO deem worthwhile, I suppose.

I've never been able to get into anything past 1983 (and only rarely past '77) but that doesn't mean I don't try it out once in a while. It just usually doesn't hold the magic the earlier years have. But maybe that's just because my ears are so tuned for the spritely, youthful sound of early 70s dead that I can't digest the (perhaps more mature) sound of the later era. That being said, I do think drugs severely eroded Jerry's inspiration, if not his physical ability to play/sing.
